Nekomusume has a backstory kinda similar to Mad Mew Mew to an extent.
Nekomusume was just a cat girl doll that was believed to be possessed by the spirit of a mad inmate. Nekomusume lives for Chaos, Destruction and all things Madness. She has a magical staff that allows her to animate otherwise inanimate toys to life.
A scratch from this feral feline can and will drive anyone into a hysterical laughing fit as they hallucinate visually and audibly.
She speaks in nonsense and makes up idioms as if they already existed.
Nekomusume is also incredibly touchy when people call her crazy as opposed to being mad.
