She was out there. He knew, in his very bones, that he had to find her.

They'd been through 13 sectors this month already. The cost of fuel was killing him. He didn't even want to think how many parcets they had put on the ship. But when he saw her...met her...breathed the same air, stared into her impossibly green eyes, he knew his purpose. He knew his reason to be alive.

He didn't care about the bounty on her head. Nor did he care what they said she had done, or what they said she was. One look. One moment. One breath, and he was hooked. Hooked worse than any drug he'd ever heard of in the Tri-Quadrants. Just knowing she was out there, that someone as pulse-stopping as her was alive, changed him fundamentally.

"Gear up", he grunted. "We gotta stays ahead of the others".
"As you wish", came the reply.
"Double check the fuel, I gots the dog. I don't think that rumor we started is gonna last too long."
"No, sir, neither do I..."
"Then let's go.", he ordered.
"What aobut them?"
"Theys don't matter.", he stabbed back.
"As you wish."
