I'm putting this in the anime category but this is my own character for my own comic. I just put her up so you can look at her...She's a cousin of my character, Lyx, who is also a cemetery elf, but she's currently nameless.This was sketched and inked traditionally, scanned into Photoshop, and coloured there digitally. The background was not painted, however, and was a digitally altered stock photo of a forest. I had to soften the contrast between the extreme sharpness of the photo and the softer, painted elf in the foreground.

another thing how do you achieve such a perfect picture in photoshop?
cause it is bugging me that on some of other deviants' anime, the hair is flowy and looking soft!

Oh this is beautiful. THe colors are just so fitting for her. The pieces of jewlery and the dragon and a really nice nice touch. Almost lookst like a stained glass window

Getting tired of pictures is something I understand. I hate detailing like putting leaves on trees, it takes forever, so I understand why you used a photo. I'll go look at your other pictures right now.

Oh, I do backgrounds more often now. This background was from a stock photo I had--just threw it on because I was tired of the picture. Actually two stock photos composited together and colour tweaked to soften the contrast. You should check out some of my more recent stuff though to see backgrounds.

THE skin tone is very reallalistic. The ears are wicked and so's the outfit. I want a dragon thingy on my shoulders too! He looks like he has an additude, which is great. The hair is sweet, nice and whispy.
Draw your own background, I'm one of those that don't like it when artists use real life pictures in their drawings, more professional if you do your own, it takes away from your art otherwise. But its okay if you don't, no ones going to kill you if the trees and shit ain't drawn.
I like her face, reminds me of an actress, the beauty shop lady in "Legally Blond." I thought she was pretty.

this is great. i love seeing well done freehand (not aided by the computer, that is) art. computers are a great tool in the industry of the art world, but i still remain oldfashioned in my affinity for unique, hand drawn art. the coloring on this piece is very well done also. it comes off very appealing and vibrant..

Well, not really anime. It's for my personal comic book that I keep working on little bits at a time. I just didn't know where else to put it, since it's not a wallpaper. But it most closely resembled anime being comic art, so I put it here.
