I mean like in the 6B pencil, when you press down with it, the led is softer than when you would use an 2B where the led is harder.

I haven't used an 8B yet. Is it really soft though? I have the pencils I've taken from my art class and a few from this set I have, but not a lot.

what dyou mean by soft?
Its quite dark and i use it to match the 6B dark when you wanted to get darker
anyway that done in 3-4 hours!!
