Description
I made this lil thing when my birthday was coming up last month. Part of it was feeling homesick for central Texas during my favorite time of the year. When monarch butterflies migrated through town, and when I would take plastic bags that say "THANK YOU" over and over in red text and fill them with pecans. Part of it was also a tribute of some kind for two family members who share November 10th with me, but passed last year.

There was a certain tumblr post that talked about there being a last time for everything, and it really struck me when I began to think of the last time I saw a monarch butterfly, the last time I gathered pecans with my Mimo at her old home, and the last time I shared a cake with my birthday buddies. The grief of finality doesn't really go away, but the love it gave still goes on
