This lovely "West Coast Lady" butterfly is snacking on rabbitbrush. Pic taken at Game Creek. Special thanks to Barbara (*barcon53 ) for reminding me how much fun it is to hunt butterflies with a camera.

They must be hardier than some of the others... I did not see much variety on my outing. Still, I was delighted to see several of the painted ladies. They are eye candy!

Isn't it amazing that they can look so different depending upon which view you take?! When I first began photographing them I didn't realize that you often need both views to ID them.
