Description Coelophysis was a small, carnivorous biped that lived during the late Triassic (about 225 million years ago) in the South Western USA. Coelophysis was a lightly built dinosaur the measured up to 3 metres in length, it was also very slim and would have been a very fast runner. It's skull and neckwere long and narrow, with large eyes and sharp, curved teeth. Paleontologists believe that Coelophysis was a social creature, hunting and living in packs or flocks, based on a number of well perserved specimens found at the Ghost Ranch deposit in Arizona.
