The Jewish doctor Miklós Nyiszli (17th June 1901 - 5th May 1956) had to assistant Dr. Mengele in Auschwitz. He had to do autopsies in a room which has been built inside crematorium 2, in which he and members of the 12th Sonderkommando were housed.
