awesome Jana, these are lovely now but they must have been incredibly lovey back in the day must have been a nice quaint hamlet of houses and shops were everyone knew everyone und probably had more trees, no cars only carts, wagons or carriages and the smell of horse poop everywhere

I strongly suspect that. These were the houses for the workers. Can you imagine that "Facebook" would build houses for its employees today? Or would pay horror rents for people? At that time, these were completely different standards. Today people like to say: Back then, people were exploited ... ha ha ... back then ... ha ah ..... Today's billions and that's not enough. On the other hand, the employees don't know how to pay the rent from this dirty wage ... see Amazon, Walmarkt .... All bloodsuckers.

It is a small settlement with the same architecture. Since the houses are already old, they should actually be professionally restored. Unfortunately I saw that a house is not being restored but is only being renovated. This will destroy the entire history of the houses.
