concept Market Square at night Hessenpark pursues a number of goals: He serves the museum collection of buildings. In it, worn-out half-timbered houses from all over Hesse, two windmills from northern Germany (1985-1987) and other buildings were rebuilt elsewhere in order to preserve them for posterity (translocation). The Hessenpark now includes more than 100 buildings (as of 2008). It is intended to convey an impression of typical village life in the individual regions of Hesse. These regions are represented in the assemblies. He should preserve the knowledge of traditional construction techniques. Traditional crafts are to be preserved and presented. The houses are to be used for specific, hesse-related trade exhibitions. So z. B. in the Taunushaus a permanent exhibition on the Taunus to see. It will use traditional agricultural methods and cultivate old varieties and breeds.
