Ash was raised by a small community of monks that took her in when she was only 8 years of age. She was taught their philosophies and defensive marshal arts, but Ash always had a rebellious side that made her a difficult student. She liked relying on her talent to fight rather than hard work, besting everyone in her age group despite her lack of discipline. At the age of 19, a pack of bandits infiltrated their village in the night and began to steal their food and anything they thought would be of value. Ash intercepted them with rage, her hands glowing with flame. She fought them off almost single handedly, causing them to flee, except for one badly injured bandit. She almost enjoyed seeing him crawl across the ground pathetically. The elder monks shouted to her to leave him be, and that they should take him in until his wounds are healed and is able to leave himself. She was furious at their logic, her flames burned bright and she took him by the scalp and set him ablaze. The monks watched in shock and silence. The next morning she was banished. For years she's been seeking out the bandits that she thinks are to blame.
