Here is Bag End, the home of Frodo Baggins during the intervening years when Gandalf is off searching for information about the ring. Bag End sits at the End of Bag Shot row at the top of the Hill, a mound with a commanding view of the meadows and lands around Hobbiton. In the foreground is a hobbit hole, perhaps number 3 Bag Shot row where Bag End’s gardeners, the Gaffer and his son Sam Gamgee, live. Also in the foreground is the top of the party tree where beneath its branches Bilbo Baggins disappeared during his farewell speech, which is still talked about across the Shire.
