Calvin: 'I can't understand it, everybody I know needs what I'm selling!'
i made this as one of my final projects for my grade 12 craft arts class. i'll be posting a picture of this beside my refernce soon.
do you know how hard it was to make calvins hair? like i had to look at these his hair in pictures which are just usually random pointies sticking up and make it look 3D. crazy hard.
oh and this was originally made for my friend mark for his birthday. well my dog chewed up hobbes head befor ei cooked it so i had to fix that...so i was really not looking forward to fixing it so it took way longer...and ended up being apart of a school assignment.
calvin and hobbes are the property of Bill Watterson [i assume cos he created them]

bah, i've got so much going on with art...its hit teh back burner. i kinda went and bought crazy amounts of things to paint on. so i have to get through those right now.

I just have to say: Brilliant work! A representation truly worthy of the great Bill Waterson, truly indeed. I am a huge Calvin and Hobbes fan, I grew up with them and often found myself reflected in Calvin. If you made a set like this I would be first in line to buy a dozen.

ah man i enjoy this alot, i love his hair and how you made tiger look like his stuffed animal form. i also like the roughness of the table, it almost looks like her turned a cardboard box upside down. love it

yeha i was torn if i should make hobbes as calvin sees him, or how everyone else does...and i decided since its supposed to be viewed as if we were looking at him, i'd go with him being stuffed. he was loads of fun to make. that hair was a pain, but i iwas proud of the end result. cos trying to make that hair 3-d ...wow i never put any thought into how he'd lok if he was real..like his hair...it was a challenge, but one i enjoyed.

no problem! yeah i can imagine i got into the sculpting kinds thing awhile ago and attempted to make a little blonde girls ringlets, shudders lol, i was proud of it when i was finished though! lol i think hes much better stuffed!
