A light flickers too many times this night,and says its last goodbye.
It prays to thee and sends love to thee,
and dies with one open eye.
A silence utters a cry so meek,
I wonder if it ever spoke.
The tales it must have told-so weak,
as he cried, and slept, and never awoke.
His embers now smolder; plaster into the earth,
like a message from an unknown deity.
As a swirl of gas and dust give birth,
a new mystery has been placed on the shelf for thee.
