Long story short...waiting at hospital for half a day and for nothing. It wasn't even that busy and it was quite empty at times. Doctor didn't even treat problem. So back to square one...

Long story

After the car accident, the ambulance took Ling Ling's mum to hospital and was handed over to them at A&E for the to check if she's has any injuries. Not knowing much English language whether details were taken or not and supposably they could get an interpreter online to translate (which they could get but it never goes well as most communication through interpreter on phone get things mixed up, like misunderstandings and saying wrong thing from not hearing properly). All they did was check blood pressure and then moved her over to another area. Not sure what the area is called but its a different department not A&E.

From Ling Ling's experience, normally they keep people that are on warfarin (blood thinner medication) in A&E area as they have to do a blood test to check the INR, to see if its normal (within range) particularly on the day. Also checking the yellow booklet with the recorded INR readings and details. Everyone has a yellow booklet and maybe a card for being on this type of medication. This time they didn't do any of that, maybe they changed the rules or something? like people on blood thinner medications is treated as normal people without medication? But that doesn't seem right...they're not the same, on blood thinner medications people tend to bruise easier and bleed way way longer than normal people, so have to be treated a bit differently.

Anyways...Ling Ling, Jadiete and aunty arrive to wait with mum at the hospital. Mum already waited 2 hours there and Ling Ling asked the receptionist how much longer to wait, they says waiting time is 2 hours 50 min and your mum has waited 2 hours, so it about 50 mins now.
Aunty asks Ling Ling if she's okay and if she's hurt anywhere and tells her she should go get checked out as well while being at the hospital.
Seeing how things are going at the moment, Ling Ling say no because she doesn't want to wait there till the next day at the rate its going plus might get forgotten also. She'd rather suffer and deal with it than wait there.

50 minutes past, then another hour and another and so on. Ling Ling had been to ask the receptionist a few times, they say 40 mins then not long now, about 5 people before you....Ling Ling is getting fed up with them telling lies, they are making up times, saying whatever, 5 people to go...it's more than that....it's like endless waiting and they are putting you back of the line so that you get nowhere near until all people have been seen and gone, then have no choice to see you.

Finally evening time and getting seen by a doctor, which turns into a big disappointment. The doctor asks questions which he should already know, he has a computer it should have all the history medical details of patients. Why start at the beginning again with questions like what's the reason you are here? didn't they, the nurse already taken details and reasons already....why does he have a notepad and just writing one words in it for every answer...why ask why on blood thinners and Ling Ling answers for her mum saying heart valve replacement. Straightaway the doctor says "from China". Ling Ling is offended and says "its from Manchester Royal Infirmary!" knowing that its the same bad doctor from last time. Normal doctors do not say this...they ask which hospital did you have the surgery or just look at records not straightaway assuming its from China.
Then he changed instantly to looking fed up and remained silent. Yes, silent not saying anything, just suddenly typing away on keyboard looking at the computer. Ling Ling did ask a few questions but its was pointless as well, he didn't answer....even when leaving as well, no answer, whether can leave or not and medication for pain, nothing. The doctor just stayed silently looking at the computer screen, ignoring. Bet he's happy since Ling Ling and mum automatically leave without him having to do anything, one less work to do and back to slowly going in and out places "like its extremely busy pack full of patients to get through" which it was not. You see on news showing how packed full of people at hospitals and how busy people are working trying to manage everything. This hospital was total opposite. The receptionist were bored off their minds and time to time few staff/nurses appear, go into the receptionist room to hang around for a while to chat and gossip about something. Anyone in the waiting room could see that through the window on the door. If not, they could heard their loud chatting voices and laughing loudly. It's the same with the doctors room, you can hear but not see (door closed, no windows). You see doctor and nurses going in for a long time alot and not having seen a single patient at all for an hour or so in the waiting area...

Anyways...going to this hospital for medical treatment is pointless around here. Seeing that doctor was no different to not being seen. So, no check up for injuries whether is okay or not and no treatment for pain except disappointment, more pain and wasting lots of time waiting....
