Your use of color is often bold and glaring. This piece has slightly subtler use of color than normal, and it makes me wonder what unique effects you could accomplish with a less distracting color scheme. I struggle to find a balance with the color in my work--where the colors do not draw away from the complexity of the strokes, but they still contribute some passion.
This and the other piece you uploaded to the group recently show a flattening of space, I think. It gives the art a superficial appearance and emphasizes ornamental nature of the details.
