This is so much more beauitufl than most of the abstract 3-d work that I see here on DA. Most of it lacks emotion, despite their impeccable color schemes and composition. This is somehow raw... which is an interesting though when one realizes that the image is so refined; rendering is a process that seems as if it would strip the image of its creator's touch. But here, it doesn't take anything away from what you've crafted. Great work.

ahh this is beautiful ~ it has the compositional structure and color usage of a Georges Mathieu painting but the life of a coral reef (maybe the blue background helps that reference haha) - good job +fav

'tis decidedly different, there's no denying it.. don't suppose you'll give up trade secrets by giving us a hint how it was achieved? some fractal work somewhere along the line? ..got me guessing!

mad wicked. This is excellent.
I especially like the way the colour transitions complement the form transitions really well.
I wouldn't mind seing a version with a white background of some sort also. I think something neutral could bring out the colour of the object even better.

Much have I seen in my days, but this is soo innovative! Makes me smile and rethink the possibilities of 3d-abstracts, to make more than just the mainstream with it's so well-known style. I think you should do something more interesting here then just abstract.
You obviously have skills and a unique style when it comes to 3d abstracts but I think you're missing out on something that could make it even greater.
This for example I think is pretty boring as it is, but to me it looks like something I would find in the depths of the ocean floor.
That being said, add a unique background to give it more sense.

beautiful render, the transparencies give this a surreal feel. the downside? the typography looks off, and the background might contrast a little too much. other than that? colour is stunning and detail is astounding.
