Big commission for my friend of one of his characters. It's a scene from his book 'Axinstone' www.amazon.com/Axinstone-The-D… Go read it. It's pretty good. Plenty of interesting concepts and DRAGONS!

I swear this painting nearly killed me. I did and re-did pretty much very single aspect of this painting. I don't there is a single thing that wasn't painted over at least twice. And I'm still not 100% satisfied with it. But short of re-painting the entire thing *shudders* I don't think there's much else more I can do with it. And I now have 2 more things to add to my list of stuff I need to learn properly; painting black animals/objects and realistic scales.

But at least it's DONE. And my friend was happy with it so I suppose that's all that matters
