Description

"I hope my soul can reach the moon"

First drawing of the new year. I really needed to do something that I felt displayed my emotions. I've had a string of bad luck in both health and monetary means all around Christmas and the new year - so to do a piece 'just for me' was really peaceful.

Here's to better luck and a good 2016!

It's very impressive. The color purple is often associated with the sentiment
of domination, spirituality, and even royalty. In this case, the dominating skies
represents the inner world, the place in our imagination where we have full control of our world
as opposed to reality. The dead tree represents the dry seasons. The girl standing on top reaches out towards
a world that is more manageable, and expresses a sense of escapism for the moment, but also a search for ways to
make those dreams manifest somehow. It is also a sentiment of creative power. Through writing and drawing, we are at liberty
to go where we wanted to go, do what we've always wanted to, meet who we wanted to meet, and obtain what we've always wanted to
obtain, those things that would otherwise be difficult to get in the real world, even impossible depending what it maybe. In our own world, our
dreams are untouchable, un-tampered and untamed, by the things of the world around us. This art work shares that sense of liberty and power, where
the girl in this image can imaginably call forth anything she wishes. Overall this is an empowering art work that shares the creative magic we artist possess.
Awesome work.

Well that concludes my interpretation. Hope you enjoyed the read. ^^
It's not easy being an artist in such a demanding world. I'm in a similar boat as well with the finance part. But I do hope you feel better soon.
Something has got to give. There need to be a "Support the artist" movement or something. XD Us artist need love too. XD
To us passionate artist, may we thrive and prosper in all that we set out to accomplish.  ^^

I have to say your interpretation is spot-on! So far all 3 mood paintings have been made from me working on de-stressing artworks to keep my sanity.

I think that sums up exactly how I felt while painting this

Awesome! Interpretation helps me therapeutically as well,
and often times I get my epiphanies to which I tend to run off
and resolve my life challenges. ^^
