This is a beautiful image. I really love the lighting you have and the position of the horse. Looking at the image closer, it could definitely be mistaken for a digital painting!
The only thing I see that you might want to fix is the quality of the horses back. I would also go for a bigger size, but not anything to big.
One thing that is really great about your image is that the horse blends into the black background. It looks like it's just vanished.
Again, I really love this image, great job, this image definitely deserves this daily deviation.

It is definitely quiet a good image, photographing this black horse against the black background so that only minor details are visible does work wonders.
I love the "pose" of the horse, as well as the lightening, and the way it nearly vanishes.
What I would personally change is the composition, I think there is too much negative space at the top. Make it about half and crop on the sides a little and it will look great.
Also your watermark does destroy the image a little, I understand the need of it, but in such a tone-on-tone image the white just puts the whole thing off. Maybe if you need one, I would go for a see-through one and probably smaller.

I reported it to the group so it wasn't accepted and also notified the artist -- she never replied, but clearly she took it down. It looks like she's new, so maybe she just didn't know any better. It seems like common sense to me, but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt

This is one of those "stop you in your tracks" stunning images I always wish I had thought of. The only thing I can think of that would make it better is to balance out your negative space a bit better in the upper right. Maybe put a star there or something...

This is a beautiful image. The lighting and position of the horse is great! I love how it fades into the background, and vanishes. This definitely deserved a Daily Deviation. I thought this was a digital painting at first! Great job! I love it, and hope to see more like this from you!
