I don't really get it, but if it's a science-fiction/fantasy and makes sense it can be kind of interesting. After all, look at seahorses the male carries the eggs go figure that one out.

Yes. If the characters are from a race the author created, or from some well-known species that doesn’t exist (aliens, for example) who said the males can’t be a bit anatomically different? Maybe they think it’s weird that human males CAN’T get pregnant.

I totally agree, though I don’t think it works well with every single male character. I usually prefer to impregnate stoic, serious, badass guys OR guys who are total wailing maiden bottom bitches. Throw the Gentle Seme in as the father, and you’re golden.

I am actually a lover of yaoi, but mpreg is.. I don't know, I never take it seriously. I find mpreg both sweet and hilarious, because I know it's impossible, and I'm not shooting for it to happen in real life, I know it won't happen. I do actually like the genre, just not seriously. Cause I mean, I have to admit, it's a little strange, but funny! xD Besides, some of the ways people get the men pregnant are a little weird, so I try to avoid those. >v> Although I find the topic of them starting a family sweet, and yes, I know there's adopting, but I guess there's a different feeling if it's their own child. -shrugs-

I find this hilarious and even though I don't have a problem with mpreg in concept, I react like this poster to most of the mpreg art out there. Then again, my art is graphic enough to cause this reaction too, so it's just a matter of our personal tastes.
I will throw out there though... if mpreg is stupid because it's not possible, then all science fiction, fantasy, and just fiction in general is stupid!

first I was like 'whut' then I read one (from Spunky0ne on fanfiction and from vaerin7) and I actually like them now. Most of the time those stories have some wonderful plots and well.... they can be funny (or sad/emotional) as hell

Mpreg is a weird thing. At first I was like "NONONONONONO NOPE NOPE NEVER" but then as I started roleplaying with someone, she brought it up and I just kinda went with it? I think why people like it so much is because it brings the 2 character closer together in a relationship, which is cute, I suppose. Then again, that's why I like it.

I don't know what to say...I mean, this is your opinion, that far I can understand. And I will certainly respect it. Since it's clear you dislike basically anything to do with mpreg, then I probably will have to tell you not to look into my gallery! xDDD
I myself wasn't much into male pregnancy at first. Sometimes I just couldn't find a good reason that I'm comfortable with to explain how the pregnancy happened. But pregnancy in general is beautiful, be it the mother is a male or female. I just find it amusing to see a baby growing inside someone...it's like...some kind of life's miracle, you know?
But of course, I would admit that there were times when mpreg is a little bit too much in artworks and fanfics. I won't fight to the possibility that mpreg is just another step for someone to drool over a pairing. If you ask me, I'd rather see the 'mother' suffer in any way possible while carrying the fetus, rather than have him all lovey-dovey with his partner. Reality isn't that pretty.

I understand the hate and it's completely logical to hate mpreg, I mean it is pretty un-realistic, but that's what we love about it!
As an Mpreg writer myself, I feel ashamed seeing some of the mpreg-likers writing such vile and nasty comments, it's stupid and juvenile...
I'm glad that you can express your opinion and I will be happy to give my life so you can always express yourself, but from all of us SANE mpreg writers, I would like to sincerely apologize for the monsters we've created. I didn't think people would get so nasty on this site and I'm sorry.

I try my best to give my stories some sort of logic such as a genetic mutation in men or a hermaphrodite, but that won't change your opinion and I happily accept the fact that people hate mpreg, it's perfectly logical and healthy to not like things, so good on you and keep your opinions loud
