Description Image

This is another location that has eluded me over the years but I'm glad I found the time to visit. To be honest if it wasn't for all the other photographers I would have jumped and rolled around in the flowers... as tempting as it seemed a kept cool and took my exposures. Although it is a very popular spot for photographers it's limiting in creative flair as of the restricted lighting and content. Nevertheless it's a fantastic location and well worth a visit.

Location

Dartmoor, Devon, UK

my parent used to bring me to this area as a kid, my gramp was the
Lord Mayor of Exeter in 72 and since been interested in photography I
so wanted to go back to go on the moors, as I have seen how beautiful it was,
so made a visit end of october...beautiful day and place....
But missed the flowers season though..

It was tricky light I must admit, however you've seemed to make the most of the north coast for sure.

Those flowers look perfect for rolling! You'll have to return when there's no one else there.

Wow, I've got to visit Devon on of these days. Do you edit your photos much? I see you have CS5. Also, would you recommend a Nikon D90 for a beginner-intermediate photographer?

Thanks!

I do spend some time editing but only to make sure every part of the image is to a high standard, I keep my photos looking as close to what I saw as possible and never add or remove major elements as I feel getting the image 'in field' is vital to any landscape photographer.

I have used the D90 and think it's a brilliant all-rounder and would recommend it, especially if you get a good price.
