I am offering a critique that was requested by you. First off congrats on your 3rd place win for the contest. Problems that I see are in your depth of field.
You have objects in the foreground that are blurred and should be clear. Namely the small limbs and leaves. The forest in the background looks great but as you are coming closer to the foreground the blur effect should be less. Perhaps the grass and foliage just behind the subject should have been clearer. You have a thin white line that is on most of the outside of the hunter that should have been removed. The birds shadowing and lighting does not match that of the hunter. Use of the burn and dodge tool could have helped out there. All in all a good image and well done.
