Just for fun image. It's overprocessed as hell, but I kind of like it anyway.Character was polymodeled in C4D R12, no sculpting involved. Rendered in C4D.
Textures and postpro in GIMP
And yeah, I saw the intersecting hip. Will fix, try rigging a character with more than 300,000 poly's unsmoothed.

Absolutely gorgeous. I dare say this is one of the most brilliant pieces I have seen on this site in all my years of enjoying art at Deviant. It is so amazingly intricate and elaborate. It reminds of something that could come from the Baroque era.

Looked it up, cool song. Though for those that care about lore, she's not mechanical. She's a late bronze age empress in her mid thirties with a thing for gold and narcissism. The armor is hammered from bronze and partially plated in gold. (Not used for combat, just as a form of technological intimidation, since most cultures in the story didn't have the metal-working skill to form anything like that.) It's a personal story teller too, big events from her history are shown in the engravings. (They aren't that visible in the render.) The ships on her breasts, there's a city on her cheeks, cavalry and a progression of soldiers on her shoulders and arms, multiple poses of her in sensual positions, the facial profile of a dead lover on her forehead, etc.
Anyway, nerd moment over.

This is the most feminine full metal armor Ive seen for the most part, the detail is so exact and the shape is considerably slim that seems to give it a somewhat petite look, it seems like the kind of armor that a fair maiden would wear, this is truly a masterpiece of absolute beauty(takes hat off and bows in respect^^)!

Thanks, that's more or less what I was going for. I get pretty tired of all the chainmail bikinis out there, wanted something a little more practical, but didn't want to sacrifice the fantasy element of it. It's heavily based on 16th century german armor, but with a closer fit and some more surface detail.

For the armor -- 30 days modeling between 4-6hrs a day. Tweaking/testing/unwrapping/mapping/texturing/retexturing/retexturing again/equipment failure/scene building/other scene building/lighting/rendering/postproduction? Nine months.
