Hi! Quickly popping in between classes to submit a new page! We got two hours off in the middle of school day (well, most of us got the rest of the day off, but I have "Swedish for dummies" lessons today) and I just got this finished. I wanted to scan the sketch of the next page after this one, before I ink it and thought that ah, heck, why not scan this one too while I'm at it.
Enter more doggies!
The black one was surprisingly fun to color. I feel a bit bad now, when I first designed Surama, she was supposed to be black, but I chickened out since I thought I couldn't handle coloring fully black character, so I made her dark gray instead. (Although this guy has the clear advantage of having some strategic points -mouth, eyebrows, tailtip, front paws...- to have shadeable markings. Helps a lot in making his expressions visible.)
Okay, going off again. Must eat something before leaving to the class. Enjoy!

I thought that dog was a rottweiler at first, but I'm pretty sure rottweilers don't have fuzzy, curly tails, even when not docked.
How do they get on those collars and earrings? Are there humans in this world?

He was inspired by rottweilers, so it's not a miracle if he looks like one. ^^
No humans. To accomodate their status as THE sentient species in the world of Wurr, I've made adjustments to how their front limbs work. On this very page you can see how the black one grabs the scared one from the neck bag with his paw on panel 3 (one digit turned against the others like thumb), and few panels later he's shown rubbing his own neck.
They can basically bend more hand-like than real life dogs. They can do stuff with them.

I have to. Swedish is obligatory in Finnish schools. Swedish speaking people are just a small minority in Finland, but Swedish is still the country's second official language, so there's no escaping.
