Description I made a kitty cat!

School project, made with Cinema 4D.

Looks a bit angular, sorry for that. The program's equivalent of Turbo Smooth (what was that called again in Cinema... Umh... Hyper NURBs?) isn't on. But darnit, I'm proud of it! My first ever textured CG model, it's got to mean something.

Looks like your new to modeling?
though honestly, I modeled for a year before i could make my stuff mildly realistic, and i haven't done any modeling in a long time, and so i might be out of touch. I will have to find out the next time i get a hold of mudbox or something.

Its actually a really cute model. You could try rigging and animating it.

Hey, the best I can do is furniture, so this is pretty awesome. And its cute! You should definitely be proud of this.

Ps. If you need something for little kitty to lay on/climb/scratch, I have some various pillows and such I'd be happy to send your way Its with Studio Max, so I'm not sure if they can go into your program, but... maybe?

I sure mean to! If all goes well, this kitty should be rubbing itself against a human character's legs in a couple of weeks.

lol

I used DAZ 4 to have a go at 3D models.
Long ago I had to do it by hand (for my job) with scripted animated movement.

DAZ makes it easier, like the other 'modern' programs.

Now make kittehs

You'd better be proud of it! My first model with box-modeling(it is box-modeling...right?) was a assignment for school...And it was a bed XD
I've never used this program, did you make the textures separately, or is it like Zbrush with a "paint on the model" thingy?

If box modelling means that it's shaped out of a cube shape, then yep, that's how I made this one. I've made some practise shapes (chess piece and a plane) but this was my first character that got real texture maps.

Yup, textures made on a separate UV map, colored in Photoshop. Made a bump map to pretend to be fur too.
