Otho and Nitora on the evening of Novo's birth
I felt like drawing something peaceful!

I totally forgot to upload this one!! I painted it weeks ago, and it didn't end up quite as I wanted to, so I just posted a preview on instagram. The detail deserves a platform that allows larger resolution! Since then I sort of I re-deiscoverd the smudge-tool in photoshop I gave it a whirl today, and it ended up smoother and softer, like I wanted to. Still not perfect, but better!

It's not obvious in the comic yet, but yes, Otho and Nitora is the lord and lady of the north, and Novo and Zinna are their cubs. Novo is the heir There are five territories (North, south, east, west and central), the north is the largest territory by area, but smallest by population, ruling over 40 smaller prides.

I'll touch on this in the comic but I don't want to infodump it I'll try and weave the information in more naturally.

I also wanted to think about details in the caves where the lions live - remember this is the lord and ladies' cave - so it's pretty high end

I imagine the items under the "window" are gifts sent from other lords and ladies to congratulate them on the birth of their first born. There are decorations and they have a bed of animal-furs - very luxurious!

I have a few ideas for art like this, so hopefully more content like this coming up
