You and your husband going?
Are you going in an RV?
Or maybe by car and staying at camping grounds?

me and my brother, no need for a husband
what do you mean by "RV"?
we want to go by my aunts old VW-bus (if its still driving ), like last year when we went to south tyrol. we can take your bikes with us and have a place to sleep if we won't find something better.
this is the best way to go on vacation.

bring your paints and a few canvases to work with you never know when inspiration strikes :nods:
sounds like a fun plan though

that's exactly what my brother says, but i don't know...
it's definitly fun! but we don't really have a strict plan. just starting the bus and see where it will take you. like last year - we drove until the weather was fine
what about you? any plans for vacation this year? any advices and tips for what we should see in norway?

I would recommend avoiding Oslo, it may be the capital but it is one of the 10 ugliest cities in norway. I would recommend visiting the southern coast line maybe go west and north and visit the mountains and fjords

sorry, i wanted to answer you sooner, but by computer broke down. i guess that was a typical case of women and technic, so I needed some male help just to show me how to push the on bottom.. but at least it's working again
thank you for your adivces! i won't mind not visiting oslo. i'm not really into city-trips. i perfere the places apart the big citys, so visiting the southern coast line, the moutains and fjords sounds exactly like the places we should go.
sounds like you like spending your time there too, or is there another city that is worth to be seen?

Cities worth seeing would be Grimstad, Kristiansand, Stavanger, Bergen, Aalesund, and the list goes on along the coast all the way up to the russian border.
I live in a small town outside Bergen, where I shoot most of my photos. The small towns along the coast are absolutely worth visiting just to see how things have stayed the same no matter how much they have changed.

As for technology... when I have computer trouble a woman has to help me.. I help her with car issues though so it evens out I guess

i definitely need help in car issues too. i know where to fill the fuel into but that's all. unfortunatly it's quite old. i can be glad when i don't need to scrape ice from the tachometer in winter and now it started to not open the driver's door when i want it to. i wonder why but its still driving
but the fact that you need women's help in computer issus makes you very likeable
oh i see, we should stay a long time in norway. and it seems you really like your country. I'm curious about it.
i live in nuremberg, and i can't say that i like living here. much to crowded and much to less green. but a short way to work.

I live on a little island where about 300 others live. It is a small community and I am an outsider so I get to be alone when I feel like it
I enjoy that but would love to live in a warmer country.

may i ask why you are an outsider? i guess i'm one too but i don't mean that in a negativ way. i just don't think doing something because everyone does it makes it a good thing
i understand that you would like to live in a warmer country. i acutally don't like winter very much. but the good thing is that after winter comes a new sommer (at least i hope so - it has been quite rainy the last years). how much degrees has a typical summer day in norway? last week it was quite hot here, we had more than 30°C and that's too much heat especially when you have to work and can't spend the day on the lake

I grew up in this town on the mainland. When I moved away from here to go to school and later to work for about 10 years people forgot all about me. When I moved back to this small community people do not know me anymore, making me an outsider because they chose to keep their community closed to outsiders.

At warmest we get temps up to 30. but mostly we get about 20-25

I do, it reminds me of being at the lake when I was a kid. Seeing the main part of town across the way as well as in the water. I always imagined it as being a parallel universe we get to glimpse at for a few moments on calm days. Always wondered if they could see back. That's what this photo does for me is bring this all back.
