What exactly process and materials have you used for this so far? I am looking to make a honedge prop blade myself and think wood might be a bit tricky. Aslo how durable would you say this is or will be?

I say go with wood because they last longer and is way more durable but cardboard or foam always works well too. what i used for making my honedge blade is card board mostly, I grabbed card from a box that had a fridge in it so it was really thick and strong. and then i used paper mache make it stronger ,and well on durability i would say its its pretty good, especially if you reinforced it with other materials. like i added a wooden dowel inside the sword so it dosent limp around and can hold its self up.
