Description
This painting is a celebration of the dark and primal side of nature, and an expression of the principle of animism - the idea that everything in nature is alive. The ground you walk on contains DNA and is therefore a living organism.I try to express this through the use of varied and dynamic marks and a tension between dark and vibrant tones. The darkness of nature brings out its weird vibrancy.
