DESCRIPTION: essentially a form of light magic that focuses on the more offensive qualities of the element. For the most part, he utilizes his magic to increase the damage inflicted by his primary weapon - the sword. In combat, his blade can be imbued with searing heat that can burn or char its target; or he can unleash flashes of light to stun and temporarily blind enemies.
Outside of combat he can toast your bread or light up your room.

PERSONALITY:

An intimidating character at first glance (if his constantly angry eyebrows are anything to go by).
In truth, though, Danyel is merely someone bound by an incredibly rigid self-imposed moral compass - which is probably what makes him look so Stiff all the time. Being laser-focused on pursuing what he believes to be noble, he frequently forgets that smiling is a thing.

Danyel is a person of action, quick to make decisions - but not necessarily impulsive. He is emotionally perceptive, but his consideration for others is often masked by his curt mannerisms. While his words and actions may be brusque, he is a steadfast ally to the pure of heart and often undertakes the role of protector for those who are vulnerable.

HISTORY:

An Eidolon born into the Radiant Choir, Danyel was commended by the officials of Elysia for his sharp mind and combat skills from an early age. His auspicious beginnings in the military, however, were gradually undermined by a personal skepticism towards the higher authorities as Danyel entered his young adult years. Standing witness to frequent instances of the individual being trampled for the sake of the 'greater good,' things eventually came to a head when a fellow Eidolon was punished in what Danyel perceived to be a blatant injustice. Enraged by the callous treatment of his friend, Danyel was quick to challenge that which he had grown up obeying -- and just as quickly, was cast from the ranks.

With little regret, but a growing bitterness, Danyel left the Radiant Choir to join the Apocryphal. Seeking a truer path of justice and virtue, Danyel eventually found his way to Arcania and the life of the Adventurer. While the definition of "good" might not be so clear, at the very least, he would vanquish that which he knew to be evil.
