Let me start of by first saying that I love reading comments that aren't just a "Congrats on the DD!" or "I love it!" It's repetitive and the artist doesn't need to read that a million times over. I also hate critiques that give 5/5 stars all around and only compliment the artwork as if it was perfect. What's the point of a critique if you only mean to flatter the artwork and not offer constructive criticism. 

In that case, this seems like a great "critique" comment that you posted. But the only problem is that the artist did not request a critique and you could have sent harsher criticism in a note. Your comment is public and everyone can read it, thus humiliating the artist. This isn't a social critique artwork or something opinionated. It's her own creation and you diminish her daily deviation award by saying the award itself is "reduced to nothing special." That's not very nice and that in particular is not constructive feedback.

Furthermore, you offer a very false compliment that "I'm happy for you" but then you contradict that and say "It bothers me." See how fucked up your entire comment is? I'm not saying at all that you have to love everything you see. You even said beauty is in the eye of the beholder, which is awesome.


So, what about the other billion people in the world who might like this artwork or find it moving? The people who love to read and/or love nature might find happiness and beauty in this artwork. Traditional artwork, to be specific. Someone who reads your comment might be hurt that you were out to attack it in a rude way. There are many ways to offer your opinion (and isn't that what the comment section is for?!) but that time, it was in poor taste. Hope this helps.

The billion people who like her art are the people who post empty comments like "congrats on the DD".
"congrats on the DD" wont start a conversation (or in this case what seams to be an argument). I dont need somebody to ask for me to comment on their art. if i have an opinion , i often share it. 

i dont see how somebody could be humiliated by my comment. This comment isnt really intended for the artist. When i was talking about the idea of getting your art as a daily deviation being reduced to nothing special i was not trying to be nice, Im just being honest. Im not going to talk carefully around things i walk to discuss, my comment being in bad taste is just an opinion, the same way my comment was my opinion. 

I dont think me saying that it bothered me was a good example, but i think i get what your saying. My reasoning there is that im telling her its ok to be proud of getting a daily deviation. I just dont recognize it the same was DA does. I tried to make it very apparent that anybody can take my comment with a grain of salt. Apparently nobody thought that was a good idea.

Nice grammar buddy. I'm guessing you meant stock not stalk, you forgot to capitalize the I multiple times, forgot the apostrophe in I'm quiet often, you forgot to capitalize the first letter of the first word of a few of your sentences, you also forgot an apostrophe in isn't. While I appreciate you trying to be kind and respective with your comment I think you should at least turn on auto correct.
