Description Another line art commission, this one for =Draenian of her character, Rhais. I told you there was going to be a small flood of these. And no color! I have a right to torture you, I suppose. I will be keeping these smaller commissions open until further notice.

I rarely draw anthro (except I have to show you silly were-noph at some point) so this was a fun little exercise. It's also a pretty good excuse to practice more human anatomy and clothing. I have so much to learn! That aside, I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out. It helps the character was fun to draw.

To =Draenian I hope he looks alright!

All of these line art commissions are done in India ink with a 108 Hunt nib on bristol vellum. I couldn't do it digitally to save my life.

Oh yes. For me, they're the only way I can get a lot of variation in line weight while using only one nib. Microns and felt tips are all very well, but you've got to have a ton to get different lines, and they seem a bit pale in comparison to bottled india ink. (I also like to make things hard for myself. )

Aha... I asked because I'm learning to use dip pens at the moment, and find them incredibly hard to get the hang of, so something like this seemed very masochistic. They're pretty awesome when one can use them well though.

A good excuse to practice the anatomy and clothing eh? It looks flawless! I'm especially envious at your skill drawing the hands here, the pose itself is strong and interesting too and the...tail floof...

I love drawing hands, even if I can't always get them right. There are so many poses I'd like to try out, but don't always get around to doing it.

I ought to post him one of these days, if people can stand yet another sketch on the pile!

This looks really great! I really like the feet and legs, which I feel can make or break an anthro piece. Also his tail looks so fluffy~

I have one hell of a time designing clothing for characters, sometimes I have nightmares about it. So when I see something that already works well, I use it! So thank you!

Love the detailing on his fur and the clothing! You do an excellent job on Anthros. Also, your linework is awesome, you have a very steady hand !

Now if only I could understand costuming better... I tend to rely on what's given to me, so it's good I had something to go off of!

It helps for me to not consume much caffeine while working on these, because it'd look much more rough with the shaking. All in all, he was fun to sketch and ink.

Lol, clothing is a fickle thing. I'm not good at that sort of thing either, hence why =FireMaster13 created the clothing on him XD!

Thanks! It's a bit tricky to get it sorted with a dip pen, since it's so easy to catch on the paper and splatter. But of course, I insist on doing things the hard way. Doesn't keep it from being fun to draw, at least!
