um its from gundam but not a gundam its self but a mass produced mobile suite.

The ZGMF-1017 GINN is NOT a Gundam. It is a type of mobile suit, as is a Gundam. Other than that, this picture is great. By the way, it is a ZGMF-1017M GINN High Mobility Type, not a standard GINN.

Like the backround textures and your choice of colors, but you need to work on proportions a little bit. A higher res upload would be nice too

Just pracitce huh. Most people do something small easy, well who know drawing these might be easy. Me, I'm not into machines but it looks really really nice. And great color job

I really like the background color and texture; it complements the more simplistic cell-shade of the Gundam well. The shading offers enough contrast to tell what everything is, but I see a few points where you bled out over the lineart. The basic composition is simple, but it works. It would really rock if there was some more dynamic perspective in it. As is, the gun gets a little lost as if he's holding it more back by his hip than thrusting it out toward the viewer.

thanks for the good critique actually i found the same problem with the gun as well... the drawing itself is actually a sketch of one of the models not a copy of an image from the series so the perspective was obiously not going to be as dynamic as an image from the series

Ah, I see. Yeah, those things can get pretty limited in their range of movement. You should try using some cross-reference maybe - like the Gundam model for the shape of the mech pieces and maybe then human reference for the pose?
