Description This drawing of Brachiosaurus altithorax is based off of the skeletal in Mike Taylor's re-description of the genus. It was around 23-25 meters long. Based off a GDI volume estimate of its close relative, and by rescaling some of the proportions, a mass of around 36.5 tonnes is estimated.

Beautiful drawing. You give a good, solid feeling of size and weight, which I feel is necessary for the best results when illustrating giants.

Thanks for the compliment!

I'm glad you like it, but I am not completely satisfied with it.

I had a bit of a difficulty trying to capture the subtlety of the profile of its head, and I am still not completely happy with it. I think I redrew it like 4 or 5 times, and then finally gave up.

True, B. altithorax has a very difficult-to-draw head. Mainly it's the angle of the snout bones just below the nares that makes things tricky.

Yep, I definitely would agree with that.
