Just trying to finish a few pieces before Animazement... I stopped working on this one for a while because I didn't feel like working on the background...fun >_< Anyways, Just felt like drawing something a little survivalist mixed with a little androgyny

Very well done, the color is wonderful, but be careful with the anatomy, the arm is too long and the bottom, just like the character is sitting, is disconnected.

S/He looks very androgynous indeed, I mean I can't decide if it's a girl or guy. I am more inclined to say guy but he could just be a small breasted (really small breasted) girl.
Anyway, androgyny aside, the drawing is great. I really like how you did the wear 'n' tear on the jeans giving it a destroyed look. I also like how you did the wall because it looks old and like the paint is peeling. The gun and bullets too is cool because it creates a story when the whole image is taken in together.

I get what you mean. Backgrounds can be a total bore. Kind of why I try not to detail a background if I'm going to color it, then I have to detail the colors too.
