Description Photography isn't my own. Some nice chap saw my leap and took this brilliant photo.

It was a bit of fun climbing up the disused diving boards on the Plymouth Hoe and jumping off the top one. I was dared to by my flatmates and I like jumping from high things, so I thought why not. Theres also a more subtle sense of symbolism in this stupidity though:

Lately my life has taken a turn for the worse. I've been betrayed by people I've held in highest regard and this was sort of a release from that. I still feel I'll always have people behind me and supporting me, but those I trusted most have betrayed me and I think this feeling would make a lot of people feel incapable of trusting others, but it's made me a lot stronger as a person.

I think it's nice to have loving romance and people you can regard as best friends, but what I think I've always overlooked are those people that don't necessarily feature so heavily in my heart, but support me through things regardless, and this jump was for them.

I find it strange that my most personal piece of art in probably the last few years at least has been a photograph taken by someone else.

amazing ^^ i would NOT have had the courage to jump from that high... and great (but sad, of course) story behind it. i used it here [link] , i hope you dont mind....but its kinda oxymoronic, i used it for the opposite purpose as what you were feeling XP if you dont want it up ill take it down

I'm glad I came across this, a simple shot made by someone you don't even know . Supershot, and a good story behind it.

This is a really good shot. The timing on it is pretty much perfect; I know that's out of your hands, but it must be awesome to see such a big moment captured at what is probably the best single frame you could've had of it.

I like the motivation behind it, and I hope you're getting on with your life and things are taking a turn for the better.
I've had big changes and a lot of depressing things going on in my life lately-unanimous end of relationship, went back to just being friends.

All the best, man. Hope your life is going as well as the hopeful look this picture has implies; you certainly have the right idea of going about it from the sentiment behind it. There are always people who've got your back.

I've got to jump that when I live in Plymouth next year, my campus is moving, and I've never jumped the highest one.

The reason I loved the shot is because when i was little my gran would take me and my sister down to the Hoe, and let us swim, just brought back some fun memories watching everyone jump from there.

And convincingly too, judging by the position of you after your jump. A +fav for a piece that means so much to you, one of our artists.
