Description
This is a model of a Starfleet PADD (Personal Access and Display Device) which I've built over the last two or so days.I've seen some models of PADDs before, but usually in a different software package and rarely, if at all, a wide screen version. Since I'm a bit of a widescreen fan, this had to be done.
Below is a 3D 360 degree showcase of the PADD, because I've added details such as a Starfleet equipment label as well:

Software: Lightwave 9 (.LWO)
Textures: Created in Photoshop, applied with a transparency map on a flat surface to achieve LCARS menu glow.
Settings: 30% glow, 15.0 pixels.

I'm not a huge Apple fan, but I believe there is a whole GUI replacement for the iPAD that turns it into a Starfleet PADD, menu and everything. Have a look on YouTube and/or Google. I'm sure I've seen it around.
