Description
As per request I've reworked and modified Separate Ways into a wallpaper. About 6 hours later it is done.NOTE: The field of view is slightly different for the different resolutions as I had to move image elements to make it all fit correctly. Also the shuttle angle has changed from the original due to wide screen and I've added a couple more clouds here and there.
You can download a RAR archive containing the resolutions listed below to the right. Please also have a look at the original artwork if you have a minute:

1280x800 1440x900 1680x1050 1920x1200COMPOSITION: A basic cloud render which I've then modified in PS. Composed the scene in Lightwave for correct lighting and then postworked the rest in Photoshop. Painted in some more clouds, as well as the planets in post work as well.

The original was not rendered anywhere near 4k size, as then it wasn't 'a thing yet', and I also didn't have the system. The entire piece contains quite a few digital painting elements, so it wouldn't just be a matter of rendering at a higher resolution. I may revisit this again in future, but I can't give any time frames, so, sadly, it's not that I don't want to, but I can't provide higher resolutions at present.

the only critique i could do to this is that it could use some negative godrays (I don't know how are called the arrays of shadow projected by an object in the air).

You may have to download WinRAR (rarlabs.com) and install it on your computer. You can then use that to extract the RAR archive from the download which will give you image files that you can set as a Desktop wallpaper. I hope that helps you further.

I love this. Definitely want to add it to my wallpaper rotation, I just need to figure out how to download it. Might be easier from a computer rather than my phone.

Yeah it definitely would be. Depending on what phone you have you might be able to open RAR archives if there is an app for your phone. Depends on the model. Otherwise on a computer you can use WinRAR (Windows, Mac or Linux versions are available).

I tried downloading the wallpaper but it kept opening through VLC player and I can't get to the wallpaper. How did everyone else download it?

You should get a software called WinRAR (rarlabs.com) . That will allow you to open it. Seems like .rar files are associated to VLC player somehow on your computer.

That would be difficult to pull off. I'm not that good with interiors. I prefer nature, the space of the outdoors. I don't even like indoor photography. But... maybe it would be something to think about.
