"Back at the Firelink Shrine the Ashen One found Yoel dead. Next to him was a woman who introduced herself as Yuria of Londor, one of the founder of the Sable Church of Londor.
'Yoel had served his time', she told him, 'and you are ready to become the Lord of Hollows. But a lord needs a spouse. It is time you join her in the Darkmoon Temple, in Anor Londo...'
The Ashen One was confused but he still headed toward that mysterious temple in Anor Londo. After talking to Yoel about the Lord of Hollows, he understood that it was his destiny. He had to gather the souls of the Lords of Cinder and draw on their strength instead of letting them fade away with the fire. He had to become the fire, the ruler of the hollows...
He arrived at the Darkmoon Temple and there he found Anri lying on an altar. A pilgrim like Yoel gave him a ritual sword and explained him that he had to stab Anri with it in order to draw power from her curse and so complete the wedding ceremony.
So he did. He thrust the sword in Anri's chest and absorbed her curse in order to strengthen his own."
