Description Here we are again, with games So I don't really like shooters, I find most of them boring as tar, and I rather watch paint dry, than to play them. Now don't get me wrong, shooters can be entertaining, but I rarely see something out of the box, something not like the billionth Battlefield or CoD clone. Also I find the art style mostly the same, and unimaginative. The missions are also the same (given that it is a genre staple), and I quickly loose interest in them. Aaaaaand the community doesn't help things either... Now, I'm not saying all shooters are the same, or boring, no, I'm just mostly uninterested in the genre.
Mostly.... My friend introduced me to Warframe a few weeks ago, and I'm loving it. Not sure why, my guess would be the role playing elements, the setting, but mainly the community. It's rather quite. At least during the actual levels, also, I didn't even realize , that there was a global chat, only after the fifth day I played. If you don't want to talk to people, or see what they are writing, then you can completely avoid it. Instead just gather a bunch of friends, and make a skype call, and have some fun
My favorite thing in the game, is the concept of warframes, I don't know the whole lore behind them (I don't think it is mentioned inside, or outside the game), but I like how creative the developers can get with the frames. I like how each frame has a theme, and sort of a personality, as if you picked a new character, rather than picking just a new piece of equipment.
Sooo after this looooong rambling, I want to introduce the Starfire frame I don't know what inspired me to make this fan art, since, I don't read comic books, and most of my knowledge about them come from cartoon shows. Anyway, this is my redesign of Starfire, I was never fond of her bikini outfit, I'm sure it makes perfect sense for her, to wear it, but I'd like to think an alien princess would protect herself a bit more.
For those who play the game, yes I know she looks a bit like Saryn, I wanted her to look feminine enough, and closer to the original design. As I looked at the various incarnations, most showed her in heels, and in (little to no) purple clothing.
Ohh well, I hope you like the pic.
If you are interested, the game is still in open beta, and I see potential in it, and I hope they can improve so much more. You can check out at warframe.com/ or their Youtube channel at www.youtube.com/user/PlayWarfr… , Facebook www.facebook.com/PlayWarframe and twitter.
