Well well :3I had this is mind the whole weekend, until my bf told me "draw it then" xD
This is an inspired Tolkien tattoo, not to all of his works of course, just to the saga that includes The Silmarillion, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
In the digital paint I put Smaug (The Hobbit) as reperesented on Thorin's map, the three Silmaril (The Silmarillion), and the writings on the One Ring (The Lord of the Rings); plus, in the end, I added the singnature of the great J.R.R.Tolkien :3
One day I'll totally tattoo this on myself, at least when I'll have money to do so xD

It's not properly elvish, is the language of mordor, and it's the famous citation that starts with "One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,

Just a thing...not to spoil it, of course, but...is it my impression, or your tattooer doesn't have a steady hand? I can see many things a bit off in that tattoo, like the center with Smaug, it is in fact a bit blurred, the three Silmaril are not really 'geometric', even the runes in the dark language are clearly from an unsteady hand...why is that, if I may ask? Was it difficult to reproduce? Cause I don't think it has many details...

I think every in the Tolkien-verse needs this tattooed on them somewhere. This is the most amazing, simple, straightforward, complete Tolkien related tattoo that I've ever seen.

Even because you need a bit of space to do it, since the details of the writings are pretty small. If I'll ever do it, I'll do it on my back, maybe on my shoulder blade or between them.

I was actually discussing this with a friend of mine since she's looking for a place to get her Triforce tattoo. I was considering getting it on my ribs. An easy place to cover, but still close to my heart. It's all bone and thin skin though, so I'll have to see how that'd be. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, but I'm not sure I could put up with it for hours to get it done haha
