Description
Planning on doing a few of these with various characters across a number of fandoms. I then plan on printing them on shrinky paper, punching holes in the top, and turning them into ribboned bookmarks. I'll have to see how that goes; when a batch is actually complete, I'll take a photo to share.

The one thing that ties them all together are the Bind Runes. I've made a list of these various characters and ascribed/designed a bind rune to each. Each b.r. is designed based on three regular runes, though by their very nature it's easy to see even more in the result.

For instance, I designed Rin's off of Othila (inheritance), Raido (wandering journey), and Wunjo (joy). These are meant to refer to the inheritance of the flames, his somewhat unfocused drive, and his good-natured optimism. However, due to the shapes involved one could also see within the rune Sowilo (the sun, victory, positive attack), Tiwaz (warrior, sky, justice), Isa (ice, bridge), Gebo (fairness, trade, gift), Laguz (water, flow, healing), and Kauno (torch, inspiration, creativity)...and this isn't even mentioning the reversed runes one could search out.

So in the end, those first three are the important ones, but you could make arguments for the others if you so wished. Bind Runes are interesting in that way.
