Oh? Ah well, they can still be bred out... right? They just can't be listed as Nightmare?

Ok, so, I think we need to clear this up.
You can breed a Nightmare to horses that are of a different breed (which is what cross breeding is), but the foal would either be a Nightmare or the breed of the other parent, no Nightmare- other breed cross. The DNA/genes of a Nightmare dominates and destroys the DNA/genes of the horse that it was bred with. There are two types of Nightmares, Reuglar and Pure.
Pure Disturbs have 90 to 100 percent dominated DNA, therefore indicated as "Pure". (Elders have 100%, and have traits that Pures do not)
Regular Disturbs have 70 to 90 percent dominated DNA, therefore indicated as "Regular".
However, even though only 70 to 100 percent dominated, the genes that are mostly dominated by the other horse's genes, gets dominated before anything else (which is why only regulars can have a pure white body), therefore still presenting Nightmare features. The DNA that is dominated, forces and rejects any dominant traits that are shown or carried by any other gene, which allows Pure Disturbs to be foaled, even if a Nightmare and a regular horse (Mustang, for example), are bred together.
I hope that clears everything up. This is why you can not have a "cross bred" Nightmare, even if its a "carried" trait.

Sooo, I basically copied and pasted this from my reply to SDS, which said no cross breeds... heres what it says, just to let you know:
