Its a shame that the sequester has halted all military air demo's! It has forced the cancellation of the Cleveland Air show for 2013! It would have been the first time we would of seen the F-22! Great shot BTW!

Thanks Billy, Yeah I'm glad that the majority of the week long Sun-N-Fun airshow in Lakeland Florida in two weeks won't be affected by this sequestor nonesense. Should be plenty of warbirds and classic jets flying during that week.

Thanks Daniel, I had to litteraly take my hat off he was so low and right over my head. I seem to be having some issues however with soft images, of course the lens I was using was an older generation Canon lens, however The Focal length was smaller than the shutter speed, so I'm a bit perplexed at this problem. My take this year at this show was very, very disapointing, that and the lousey weather we had during the show probably combined to make it a very unsuccessful take for me this year.

Sometimes things unfortunately go that way. I have certainly had many occasions similar. I have many folders on my hard drive from airshows where pretty much all of the shots from the day are write offs. Similarly to you there was nothing particularly wrong with my camera inputs either. Sometimes it seems there is just something in the air and things just don't come out great.

Hopefully you will still share what you did get with us though because we are all photographers and we understand things are not always perfect and it cannot always be a wonderful sunny day. In terms of bad weather we Brits get our fair share so I know your pain well.

Oh you know very well that I will. I will be going to Florida's Sun-N-Fun airshow in 2 weeks so hopefully the technical gremlins will have moved on to someone else!

Great, I will be watching out for those shots because despite your disappointment in some of them I always love seeing your work. You always post unique shots such as this great shot of the Skyhawk, an aircraft I am yet to see fly but would love too. I hope you get some great weather for the upcoming show as after the last couple of years it seems you are due some sun at a show. I have always heard good things about Sun-N-Fun so I will look forward to all your great shots.

It isn't too long before the shows kick off again for us lot too. The first major show will be at Duxford in May. It is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the United States Army Air Force arriving at RAF Duxford in 1943 so should be good. The show will be slightly set back by the budgetary restraints from US military currently in place. I would assume that we would have had some assets over from Mildenhall and Lakenheath but they will be cancelled I would assume. The Horsemen are due to be there though so that will be nice to see them again and I'm sure there will be plenty of US warbirds and of course the Duxford regulars.
