Description I just wish I could tell you this without faltering.
I wish the words would flow from my mouth
The way the water flows down your face;
Like it did when we went walking in the rain,
Just for the hell of it.
That day I couldn’t take my eyes off of you,
But you never noticed.
You didn’t see them peaking at their corners
For a glimpse of your wet and windblown hair
That curled like wild fire in the humidity of the thunderstorm.
I just wish I could do this without faltering.
Feel the curves of your face with the tip of my finger,
And trace the outline I make with my eyes.
Letting them fall on your mouth,
Then follow that outline with my finger again.
I want to lose myself in the tangled strands
Of blue and green that would have showed my distorted reflection,
Had you been looking.
Had you been looking then maybe
You would have seen in me, what I see in you.
But, if you had been looking then
How would I have looked upon you,
Without faltering.
