I just keep looking at this photograph attempting to find adequate words for why I love this. There's something about this piece that draws me in and I'm having difficulty pinpointing exactly what it is. But, occasionally that's the best thing about art to me: you don't always have to understand exactly why it makes you feel something, so long as it made you feel. There's something dark and raw about this. The mask definitely helps in creating that sense, but there's something in your eyes as well. Dark and raw, yes, but also wild, mysterious, haunting, beautiful, beckoning, but dangerous and violent. The quote is perfect and provides a darker perspective to the photograph. Inspiring work!
