The sledge. This is one of the Old Race that slew and mutilated the men of the Lake Expedition. Gedney's body and that of a dog were loaded onto the sledge and hauled to the city for study -and possibly food.

You did your homework here, too, like you did with the tunnel. This site is filled with attempts to realize Lovecraft's 100-million-year city and its denizens. One thing you did that Lovecraft couldn't do was make the Old Ones threatening. It's not easy. If you follow Lovecraft's description of their barrel bodies and spindly arms with the star-shaped thing for a head, it just looks silly. Nice work.
