House centipedes are actually not only totally harmless (they're not poisonous and don't bite), they're actually very useful! They mostly eat other, more harmful bugs like bed bugs, termites, ants and cockroaches. Best of all, they'll eat each other as well, so you have no worry of them overpopulating your house.
In fact, the giant red centipedes she's got there are the venomous ones. Of course, their bite won't kill you unless you're allergic or have a weak immune system, and they only live in rainforests.

As someone who has held a vinegaroon (AKA "tailless whip scorpion") in their bare hands, I just want to give my opinion of being in this scenario in the form of a certain and resounding "NOPE.avi"

"Vinegaroon" is such a weird name for a bug. It sounds more like some kind of cookie.

The name actually comes from the fact that it shoots bitter-tasting vinegar out of it's backside and into the mouth of anything that tries to eat it as a defense mechanism.
