Beautiful! I love the rivers, and I admire your patience for those mountains. Mine always end up larger and make everything else look too small. But those rivers! Just gorgeous.

Thank you so much! My method with the mountains is to emphasize the central, larger mountains in the range more sharply. I fancy that it creates some dimension. And thank you especially for enjoying my rivers, they're actually all wrong since they fork unnaturally, as a helpful viewer before you noted.

Thank you very much. Funny 'bout the rivers - just found out in the comment before yours that they do not fork downriver, which they do all over this one. But at least they're pretty, so that's something.

This is an excellent map, with a good style, and you can tell you can actually draw.
My only quibble is that the rivers are unnatural: they look great at a glance, but there's many spots where a river forks into two outlets. Rivers (except in deltas) always fork upriver: they collect uphill water into a single stream. You can't have a river flow into the same body of water twice (except in delta areas).

Thank you! And thank you for the info, I don't know crap about anything that pertains to what you would find represented ANYWHERE on a map - now I do! A relatively simple alteration, too.

Having an infatuation with maps, I find this piece a gem--beautifully professional- and authentic-looking, and I love the paper you drew it on. Maps are a great interest of mine. That is, seemingly ancient maps, not highway maps...I don't like those. I'm trying not to sound like a spazz right now, but I'm totally freaking out over this amazing map. I love looking at maps if they are artfully made, and this one is. Seriously, I wish I was better at drawing maps... You have inspired me! *goes and draws a map and looks at it and it isn't nearly so beautiful as this one* 8)

Wow. Thank you. That is some praise, especially since you can't really read everything on this one. My ego feels nice and swollen now.

xD I can read on the map. And now that my curiosity has been whatsitcalleded (fed? stoked? no.. OH, sparked, I think...) I will read the story! ^^ But I am in love with maps, and this map is gorgeous. *hugs map*
Eek! Not the sw-word... (recently got over a disgusting yellowjacket-sting making foot swell up....) *shudder*
